We’ll start by gaining a better understanding of teaching and learning in changing contexts. We’ll also introduce you to Learning Experience Design and our framework we call MISMO (Mindsets, Intended Outcomes, Starting Context, Modular Steps, Options, and Alternatives) to give you a new and flexible approach to designing learning experiences.

We’ll start by reflecting on our understanding of digital technology and digital learning. We’ll then explore and gain a deeper understanding of the learner’s environment. We’ll then discuss Universal Design for Learning and how we can apply it in our practice of making well-designed and accessible learning experiences.

We’ll introduce you to some foundational concepts of digital citizenship. We’ll also explore the concept of digital well-being, how to positively engage with digital technologies and to use technology to enact positive change for ourselves, our communities, and the world.

We’ll start by reconnecting first with our ‘why’ in teaching and reflecting on how we communicate with our learners and different stakeholders. We’ll also develop a deeper connection and understanding of our learning environment by exploring the space, people, and process. We will then forge better connections with our stakeholders and our learners through stakeholder mapping and improving how we provide feedback on their learning.
