Key Issues in the Philippines

In the previous module, we discussed some basic concepts and definitions about SOGIE and LGBTQIA+ concepts. We also had a brief overview of these concepts in relation to Philippine society.

In this module, we’ll explore more specific issues surrounding SOGIE in the Philippines, such as bias, discrimination, and gender-based violence. We’ll also discuss why Pride is celebrated, and also look at some important policies and legislation to make the Philippines more inclusive.
